When Fashion Fever was replaced with the name Barbie in 2008. By 2009, Mattel was up for real competition with Liv and Moxie Girlz. Mattel was up to work on their second fashion inspired line. We need to reconnect Barbie back to her rich fashion roots,” admitted Richard Dickson, senior vice president at Mattel, shortly after he joined the company in 2008. Dickson, tasked with pumping cool style into the 11.5-inch doll, arranged a New York Fashion Week runway show, set up a human-scale Malibu dream house, and opened a six-story Shanghai flagship store. Still, worldwide sales of the Barbie brand declined 3% last year; Dickson left Mattel this past February. Analysts estimate that sales peaked in 2002. Mattel launched a line of Fashionista Barbies, with 12 articulation points.

HOW TO ASSEMBLE the 2015 BARBIE DREAMHOUSE tutorial FROM MATTEL DIY step by step
HOW TO ASSEMBLE the 2015 BARBIE DREAMHOUSE tutorial FROM MATTEL DIY step by step

Play Time Toy Unboxing would like to help you assemble the NEW Barbie Dreamhouse. This step by step tutorial makes it fun and simple and is much clearer to follow along than other online tutorials. We even show you how to assemble Barbie’s bed, table, and chairs. So if you picked up this awesome play set from Toys R Us, or Target, or Walmart, and found yourself in SHOCK when you opened up the box and found 1,000 small pieces to assemble, please follow along with us. You will have your dreamhouse together in less than 25 minutes and your child can finally enjoy it. We left stickers out of this tutorial because they are fairly simple to locate. Just match the numbers with the locations. If you WOULD like me to do a tutorial on the stickers as well I am happy to do it! Just leave a comment below.

OUR RATING and REVIEW of the Barbie Dreamhouse: Overall the Dreamhouse is fairly simple to put together. It is just a little time consuming. We did find some of the design components in the structure a bit flimsy at times. The Dreamhouse is also difficult to move around once constructed. It requires two people to lift and move simply because you will be very likely to break something if you lift it alone. It is not a STRONG structure. We also found pieces not always matching properly or giving us a hard time in assembly. All that said, this is every little girl’s dream come true. They won’t worry about the structure and will love this toy. And they will ring the doorbell ALOT! The moving elevators leave alot to be desired and we find that even our little girl doesn’t use them much. They are designed poorly and are difficult to move up and down. Not to mention that it is very difficult to actually get a Barbie that fits through without getting stuck. If Barbie is wearing a fluffy dress, you can bet she will get stuck, and we find this frustrating being that the elevator is the key selling point in this set. For that we rate the dreamhouse a 6/10.

We recommend it only because your little girl will love it for what it is. A Barbie Dreamhouse.
A Fantastic, Glam-tastic, Pink-tastic Home!
It’s every doll’s dream come true! This freshly renovated Barbie Dreamhouse features three exciting levels of play, lights and sounds throughout, and — for the first time ever — two cool elevators (one just for Barbie doll’s fashions)! The fully furnished luxury home boasts a fun new layout with gobs of designer details and girly touches — for lounging and entertaining in glamorous style!

A Delicious Dining Experience
After you ring the working doorbell, enter the elegant pink double-doors and head to the kitchen for a yummy snack. Prepare amazing treats for Barbie doll and friends (not included) with the pink appliances, an oven that lights up, and a blender complete with sounds. Then visit the dining room, where girls can serve meals and even flip the table to go from breakfast to dinner!

Luxurious Bathroom & Bedroom
On the second floor, guests can use the spacious bathroom, which features a light-up mirror, “flushing” toilet, and “singing” in the shower. When it’s time for beauty rest, head to the exquisitely designed bedroom. The divine canopy bed pulls out to reveal a trundle bed that’s perfect for sleepovers. Plus, the cute pet bed means Barbie doll’s puppy can sleep snugly as well!

A Thrilling Third Level!
Take the elevator to the third-floor living room, which features a television that “flips” channels and a great balcony for soaking up some Malibu sun. Then get ready for a night on the town in Barbie doll’s ultimate closet, featuring a vanity area and space for her ultra-trendy fashions. Girls can help Barbie doll pick out the perfect outfit and send it down to the bathroom in the special fashion elevator — so functional and fabulous!

It’s PLAYTIME! Let’s have some fun with our new BARBIE DOLLS today. We are going to visit the Barbie Mall where Barbie will meet a special Monster HIGH guest. It’s time to get Barbie’s hair done! We hope your kids enjoy playing along with us! The Malibu Mall is a fictional located in Malibu, California. It is located next to the campgroups and Zuma beach. Malibu Mall is where Barbie and her friends go to eat, shop and watch entertainment. Monster High is an American fashion doll franchise created by Mattel and launched in July 2010. The characters are inspired by monster movies, sci-fi horror, thriller fiction, and various creatures thus distinguishing them from most other fashion dolls on the market. Monster High was created by Garrett Sander, with illustrations by Kellee Riley and illustrator[1] Glen Hanson.[2]

The Monster High franchise includes many consumer products such as stationery, bags, key chains, various toys, play sets, video games, TV specials, a web series, and direct to DVD movies. Lisi Harrison is the author of the Monster High books. The characters are depicted as being either related to or as offspring of famous monsters such as Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, the Mummy, Medusa, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, the Phantom of the Opera, Zombies and more. The franchise is distinctive due to its extensive use of humorous horror puns such as referring to juvenile female characters as “ghouls” rather than girls.

BARBIE MALIBU MALL HOW TO assembly DIY tutorial instructions and REVIEW PART 1

OUR REVIEW: The Barbie Malibu Mall is an absolute favorite of ours. It does take a good amount of time to assemble and there are alot of pieces here, but the smile it will bring to your child’s face when it is all done is all worth it. It would be nice if the stickers were already on the small pieces in the set. This set is the perfect gift for a child! We rate the Barbie Malibu Mall a 7/10
